Inspired by Michael Wallis’s writing on today’s Route 66, I wrote and recorded Rivers of Asphalt. Don’t expect nostalgic 50s music or Bobby Troup. RoA is definitely in the musical school of spacerock, prog, and electronica — somewhere between The Orb and an easy-listening version of Magma.
